Today was the best day in life. Oh, the simple joys. Today, I spent time with my family and I seriously love every minute I have to be so close to them.

Maria and I went to Yankee Candle today. I'm finding out, Yankee is a terrible new obsesh I have. I purchased "Christmas Punch" and "Cotton Linen" Yum. I have to buy new ones every month or so.

Then Fred came over and we played with Munchi and Andy and I watched Rise of the Apes. Good show.

It's the little things in life. I love.

Anyways, I am so excited to write out my goals for 2012!! For some reason I can't wait for this new year. I will be another year older and ready for new adventures.

I'm mostly excited to try out a couple experiments come 2012. Tell you about them in a bit.

The gals and I gathered together for a night of Korean Karaoke. Did we sing in Korean?... nope. They put you and your closest friends in a tiny room, where you can sing your guts out. It's not only very theraputic but a great way to spend time with friends.

Life update: Fall is almost over. Most of the leaves have fallen off of the trees, the weather keeps going from hot to cold... that's why I'm at home today. sick.

Today I watched A White Christmas in bed with swollen glands.

I love this movie. It's on my Christmas Bucketlist of 2011.

I got a turkey painted on my nails for Thanksgiving.

Gospel doctrine is kicking my butt. Why didn't I pay attention in early morning seminary? Whyyy? Is this Heavenly Father's way of telling me I have to learn it again since I didn't pay attention the first time.

I miss relief society.

Right when I get confident in my lessons, I have one really bad lesson then a really good one.

It seems like everyone in life is progressing except for you.

LA catch up

Finally. I'm home sick. Time for some blogging catch up.

LA was so fun. The people are warm and fun. I arrived just in time for the Halloween Festivities.

Melli's Janky Apt. #1234 (as she likes to call it)

We kicked off my little trip with a USC vs. Stanford Football game.

It was awesome!! I love football games.

We cheered & cheered but sadly in the THIRD OT the Trojans lost with just the blink of an eye. Good game though.

Tania and I being antisocial on the couch munchin on some cooks.

Sunset Blvd. The weather was perfect and beautiful.

Tania and I were determined to find a celeb or two. So, we decided to "hike" Runcanyon. I think that's what it's called supposedly all the celebs hike it. It's more like climbing a really high hill. Now, hiking in LA is very different from what we're used to... still my hopes were high for spotting someone famous.

We hiked up to the top and failied to spot anyone famous. So, we just started making up all the celebs we saw.

Up top the hill you could see the LA city skyline followed by some heavy smog.

Smog comes with LA.

Knotts EScary Farm was a nightmare and so much fun.

All T and I cared about were the coasters, so we bravely split up from the group and road all the coasters we could fit into our little hearts content. One Clown House was enough for me. I think I clawed the poor guy I was with to death. Oopsies.

Just one of the many scary creatures who liked to scare you every where you walked.

Supposedly Justin B was at the park with us. With his gf Selena G. and a whole bunch of body guards. Sadly I did not get to see if this was true or false.

Tan tan left on Tuesday and Melli and I ventured to the temple on Wednesday.

We did our work and then went to dinner with some of Melli's friends.

My trip was wonderful.

Spending time with these girls was just what I needed. A little break.

Happy Fall

Lately, I've realized how happy I am in my life and where I'm at. How grateful I am to be where I am. I leave for LA in just 10 days and I can't hardly wait! I can't wait to see Melli & Tania. I just have to get over this Alzheimer's Association hurdle. I'm doing my first ever fundraising event for the ALZ Assoc. I just wish it was over. I have so much to do to prepare for it. I leave for vacation and when I get back it's Walk time.

Life is good to me and I am happy. I think I've started realizing Heavenly Father's hand in my life more and seeing that he knows what's best for me and what timing is best for me. I look at relationships past, now, and think "Oh thank you, THANK YOU, for saving me from that one I couldn't see the mistake I was making" even though at the time I wanted to be like "WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU DOING?" but He knows best. I've learned so much about myself in just these 3 years alone. 23 to 26 I don't even recognize myself anymore. I like this version so much better. And have realized some fellas just can't keep up... nothing wrong with raising the bar in dating material... glad I have my family around to set me straight and weigh in their opinions on my dating life... or recent lack thereof. Did you know my ward has a 3:1 ratio of women to men. I'll just keep on swimming.

I'm still GD Teacher. I'm much better at it and no longer get the chills when I think about teaching. I think I just realized the gospel is still so simple. I've enhanced my scripture study because of this calling and for that, I am grateful.

Did I tell you how excited I am to see my gals in just 10 days!!

Other then that life is peachy. There still isn't anyone special in my life.. I know you were secretly hoping I would have something juicy to dish out... but sadly I do not.

I know everyone wants a picture of me in a mini-skirt. But that’s not me. I feel uncomfortable. I’d never go out in a mini-skirt. It’s nothing to do with protecting the Hermione image. I wouldn’t do that. Personally, I don’t actually think it’s even that sexy. What’s sexy about saying, ‘I’m here with my boobs out and a short skirt, have a look at everything I’ve got?’ My idea of sexy is that less is more. The less you reveal the more people can wonder.

BLUE. I haven't seen the sun in I don't know how long. But it gets to me after a certain period of time. I hope he comes for a visit soon. I think I just webmd myself with Seasonal Depression. and it doesn't help that I'm rockin' out to Adele Radio on Panda....

Skins lost to the Cowboys, we were so close it hurt... I was crushed.

Work is work. (Someday, I can't wait to be a housewife)

Ward retreat was a blast with no expectations. Just a fun time in the hills with good friends. I may or may not of taken a 3 hour nap of bliss while at the retreat. In my defence I was up till 2:30am got up at 7am to go to Yoga and then played Ultimate Frisbee in the rain for 1&1/2 hours... I deserved it. Ashley my dear friend tapped me and said, "umm it's 5 O'Clock..." whoops.

I am off to LA in just a little under a month and there is so much to get done before I leave. But nevertheless I am so ready for a vacation. A real one. I haven't had a REAL vacation since my news job. Well there was that "vacation" while I was looking for employment for 18 months... that was hell.

I am have almost reached savings goal #1... :0) and it feels so good to save my money.

Elder Utchdorf spoke at women's conference. AMAZING TALK. I will share my thoughts in the upcoming post.

That's my life update. I'm enjoying life at the fullest.

2 things.

1. I may or may not of ordered my Iphone. Not because I was impatient and couldn't wait... but I saw this awesome online Labor Day Deal... get 100 bucks back for trading in your regular phone for a smart phone (for a limited time, I think till the end off the month)... and on top of that I'm due for my upgrade... BAM... 50 bucks for an Iphone is what I paid.

2. I just got done bawling my head off. I watched this...

I had no idea what this movie was about. My roomie has a million movies, so, tonight I was home alone.. and me and my girly tendencies were looking for a really gushy mushy love story... so naturally... I chose a movie with LOVE STORY in the title. Perf, for a night on the couch... WRONG. I just cried and cried. A great, great movie, just really, sad.... I think it'll go on my list of favorites.

Sorry lads and lasses I've been one busy girl. No time for blog updates, but since my room is out of commission due to BEEZ PII: The Reconstruction, I can spare a bit of time to let you all know I am indeed ALIVE and did survive the 2sec earthQuack ( I mean quake) & Hurricane Irene Sammy.

I know you've been dying to read about my adventures as of late.

Life is progressing and I am happier than ever! Arlington is good to me and working with my residents still brings me joy. I got them a cat. Her name is Sasha... but I call her Sasha Fierce, after Beyonce's alter-ego. She's my new pet.

The weather is getting colder and I LOVE colder weather. It means football and chili. Anyone wanna hike up to a Big House Game with me?

I still have LA on my Fall Kick Off and Melli M has informed me she's already purchased our Knotts Scary Farm tickets... Freak Fest Scary Farm style commences on the day of my arrival. I just peed a little.

I'm still a gospel doctrine teacher and get queasy when I have to teach and I am still prepping a million years in advance. How I miss the days of relief society, those lessons were my specialty. I miss RS.

Summer~ Krystale's Lessons Learned:

* I am not getting my IPhone until NOVEMBER now. tear. I'm learning to bridle my wants and I am actually saving for things that are in my WANT category of life. If it's not a need then it's on the Save list. Since, I've started committing myself to saving my hard earned dollars, I can't bare to dip into my savings for a want. I've never been a saver, but lately, I am doing pretty good.

* * you date your self-esteem level. meaning the person you are dating currently reflects where you're at in your self-esteem and confidence level. Got it ladies? I never realized this before but now looking back on previous relationships... I see what my ma was talking about. A wise woman she is.

*** my Fall Goals are in the works.

2. I have off Monday's so I lay by the pool and relax, which I will be reading this book. Sydney came with me to the pool last week. She is a doll.

3. I finally recieved my church calling and it was just as I had feared...
GOSPEL DOCTRINE TEACHER.
Eeeeeps, gulps and deep breathes into a brown paper bag...
It's not going to be so bad... right?
I've already started preping for my lesson NEXT SUNDAY.

4. I went to Harry Potter and cried.
It's over. Really over.
I'm still going to marry Ronald Weasely and am actually still reading the books over again because I am depressed.

5. I know God hears our prayers and he answers them. Most of the time in ways that don't make any sense. But I'm still glad he hears me and listens to me.

That's life at the moment.

It's finally here

Krystale's Summer Kick Off!!

Life is going great!

I'm finally all settled in Arlington VA and life is good.

I still see the family once every

week so that's great!

Werk is werk and is busier than ever but I still love it!

"Choose your Love & Love your Choice"

I'm going to try and make this summer one for the record books.

I kicked off summer nights with a Jason Aldean concert & purchased WMZQ Fest tickets.

That's right this VA Gal is heading out to every country concert of the summer at

Jiffy Lube Live.

I purchased lawn seating with a bunch of people from Church.

We got some Jason, Zac Brown Band, Tim, Toby, Eric Church, Sara Evans, Rascal Flatts... and my all time fav... BRAD PAISLEY... he's not until Sept. though...

you know what they say...

good things come to those who wait!

Miss Sydney accompanied me to this concert.

Then my old college roomies and I had the best reunion of our lives!! We ventured out to

This greatness occurred over Memorial Day Weekend!

It was bliss!

Summer sun, sun screen, crabs, bbqs, boys, ocean, sand, sea shells.

I got to see my gals met a few impressionable young men... what more could a gal want?

It was so good to see my girls!! We had a blast!!

The first morning Tania and I ran on the beach... so hot but felt so good.

This was our house... named The Bohemian... then we had to move to another house called

Wits End because our house was rented out!

Imagine 64 people in this.

People were POURING out from the house...

okay maybe not that bad... but it was still pretty crowded!

I know it gets me into such HUGE trouble... especially late at night.

If I call you at 3am... it's usually because I'm sweating bullets in my bed waiting for little Gage whose under my bed from Pet Cemetery to chop my achilles tendon in half.

But anyways I figured why not take a visit for our favorite holiday.

It's gonna be special puppies.

Elder Bednar a couple of months ago came and did an early morning fireside... so what is that a morningside?

Anyhoo, he came and told the men to find a woman who reverences her womanhood.

Well, I began to think, how does a woman reverence her womanhood?

I thought for a while and then I realized the most profound way a woman can reverence her womanhood is through modesty.

You know a woman loves her womanhood when she is always modest and pays attention to her appearance.

Even my friends with rockin' bodies, the ones who stay modest even though they could rock an immodest bikini... these women know that we are delicate and beautiful even more so when we dress to our father in heaven's standards. Everything elegant and gorgeous about a woman comes out when she is willing to dress modestly.

It is these women who understand who they are... and know they don't need to flaunt their goodies to every person who walks their way...

we'll save that for our hubbies ;0)

I've been searching for a modest bathing suit and it is in times like these that I miss UTAH AND IDAAAAAAAAAHO. I said it... i miss it right about now. When I could go to the mall and a there is a store dedicated to modest dresses and modest bathing suits.

I only miss these states because I had to resort to a website to find a bathing suit I was pleased with for the summer. (and i miss my few friends I left behind)

At last. I've found one.

Life is going great! I haven't updated in a while.

Allergies are kicking my bum but at least the weather is beautiful.

I can't taste my food or hear anything :0(

I love my job (still) it's the best!!

I've been running a ton now that the weather is shaping up.

(big geeeky loser I know) but I can't help that I love Ronald Weasley. seriously.

Not straightening my hair for the summer. It's curly girl for 4 months.

It's getting so long. I don't plan on ever cutting my hair again.

No blow drying, pulling and straightening should do my hair some good.

Spent Easter with my family.

I consider myself pretty lucky to have my family so close. It's really a great big huge blessing in my life. I love them. Even though my Mom forgets me in her prayers.

Weekend Highlights

I loved this weekend.

I think I get double weekends cause I work on Friday & Saturday but still go out and paint the town red at night ... and then my weekend starts Sunday & Monday.

This Friday Fred & Andy came up and I just spent some quality time with my family. Hector and Steph were there the babies and mom and dad plus the pups.

Same on Saturday.

It was so great.

Sunday Baby Sienna was blessed. {pics to come} I went to church and I love love love my new ward. Everyone is so great. It's so big and so social and sometimes I Wonder why I didn't move up here sooner.

Everyone up here has dreams and aspirations and everyone is in the same boat. Which is so refreshing. It's so nice.

Monday: I slept in until 11:00AM!! I haven't done that in a million years. It felt soooo gooooood. Then I went down to my ma's for some lunch came home and went on an hour and a half run with my dear friend ash. We ran all the way to the Jefferson Monument. I love that I can just go running into DC.

I'm refreshed and ready to start my work week.

Life is good and there aren't any complaints on my end.

Conference Reflections:

~Set eternal marriage as a priority.

I think I haven't really started thinking about this as a priority. But it's on the list now.

No more monkey business.

I don't mean to find my future hubby cause we all know that's his job.

But I think I want to start paying more attention to the way men act/behave/honor their priesthood, how they treat others, if they have ambition, what humors them you know just start paying attention.

I never really paid attention to those things and I think a lot of the times I overlook some things that should be treated as really important but decided I could make do and hope they will change.

No way not anymore I'm still not settling.

And don't worry, I'll be working on myself in the mean time.

The Way I Loved You

Conference Weekend was the best thing ever for various reasons. I desperately needed some ME time, so I ventured on a road trip with TSwift and we headed off to North Carolina to see my sister, her husband and the new munch king, Eli.

The open road sometimes is just the medicine you need.

Eli is a dream come true. Fred took a couple of pictures of the little man and I, but those will come later, when she's not sleep deprived and remembers to email them to me. But they will come. We just ate, slept, chillaxed, ate and slept.

I watched Tangled for the first time. Very cute movie. I recommend it. Wait, I bought it.

Today on my run...

I saw a guy running, saw his garments.

It made me smile.

I think this place has more church members than I think it does.

I am learning SO much.

Learning: the modification of behavior through practice, training, or experience.

I'm modifying behaviors that I NEVER thought I could change.

I love finding my independence.

Did you know there is so much YOU can accomplish if you

just DO IT & stop being scared. ( a big fat scardy cat)

why do we stay in our comfort zones?

picked up the pieces of my heart this weekend...

that was so awesome, I can't even tell you how excited I was about the whole deal.

dating/crushes/lovers/hanging out/phone calls/texts/when to text/ when to call/ it's exhausting.

maybe that's how you know when it's right, when you won't want to take a FOREVER nap from playing games.

I realized some things about men.

Ladies, you know when he's just not that into you.

it sucks when you realize.

but will be better for you in the long run if you master this sooner than later.

and if he doesn't call you... it's quite simple really, pack up your pretty little heart and keep it moving, because he doesn't care. and if he did, he would be working for ya.

you see how simple that is.

it's okay, it's a hard one sometimes for even the best of us women to understand.

That's that.

Learn from your mistakes and if you keep making the same ones... then you haven't learned.

Broke Bed Night II

Well... It's still broken.

every night I pull my mattress off my bed.. and back on again in the am.

It's terrible.

I've had this bed since I was 2... and I refuse to get rid of it.

I wanna keep it.

Hector (brotherbear) says he will take a look at it and try to fix it... I think that means it will get done by the second coming.

I have a queen bed in my parents basement... tempting but it won't fit in my current room.

the Queen will have to wait till April.

That's right folks come april I will be moving on out!

Baby Shower Weekend

Went down to NC for Fred's Baybay Shower this past weekend! She's such a cute and presh little pregger lady. Fred & Andy decided on a name for the little jelly belly. Elijah. We will probably call him little Eli, isn't that cute?

While we were there we ate entirely way too much.

I learned how to make my own laundry detergent. It supposedly will last you an enitre year and only costs about 10 bucks to make.

Whoop whoop I'll never have to buy laundry detergent again!

I love learning Relief Society Stuff.

Here I am helping my Mama with the munchkin quilts.

She's making one for Taliwag and then two more for the little munckins that are on their way.

Today I froze.

Woke up.

Took a shower... hot water starts fading rapidly. Oh no! I'm in ice cold water.

I love starting out my mornings with polar bear dips. Don't you?

Get out as quickly as I can.

Move on to next step of getting ready.

Decide I'm actually going to do my hair today... go to start my blow dryer... I got nothing.

So I move to my bedroom to do my hair.

This is when I realize... Good Grief, I don't own a mirror in my room!!

How the heck am I going to do my hair?

I see my computer, Max.

I know!

I'll use Max to do my hair by using photobooth as a mirror!

And so it was.

I documented the whole mishap.

Awesome way to start out your workday don't ya think?

Today was bittersweet.

I start my new job tomorrow.

Said my Goodbyes to my rezzies. I will miss them. I cried. It's true. But I cry at everything because I am a sensitive flower (haha my brother coined that name, one time he asked me why I was such a sensitive flower) I will miss them so much.

One of my rezzies told me, "Now don't be too wild, or I'll have to spank ya."

I love them.

Tomorrow marks a new adventure.

I start my NEW job in 2 days!

At swim yesterday, the coach made me swim with all the GUYS!!!
In my lane a 6'3" 50+ year old Russian man whose name I thought they said was VORTEX, but maybe i heard it wrong? well he kicked my trash, granted he has a few arm lengths on me!
I figure if I keep swimming with the fellas I'll be back in shape in no time!

Sometimes I can't handle how cheesy I am... but we all know I am the QUEEN OF CHEESE... I really like this song. It's so sappy and I love it! Life goes on:

It was my last Friday at my job, only 4 more days and I'm rolling into my new job. Screams & shouts welcome! I finally told a few people. I'm going to miss my ladies and my coworkers... but kind of ready for a change.

I was stuck on the road with some snow this week! It took me 3.75 hours to get home.

A 4 mile stretch of Glebe Rd. took me 2.5 hours to navigate through before I hit the interstate!

Tswift drove like a Champ in the snow.

It took some people 12 hours to get home. Oh, how I love the tender mercies of the Lord.

It was just me and a million other people... yet I was alone in my thoughts.

Car time = great thinking time & singing time.

I was impressed at how everyone came out to spend time with one another and to help one another. Tender.

I started swim team!!

I love every minute of it!

ahhh, to be back in the pool.

I better get to bed... I have early morning practice tomorrow.

New Years was a blast!

I didn't take pictures... I brought my camera but didn't take pics... surprised?

Well I had two options...

A friend invited me to a dance in Bethesda or I could stay with one of my favorite families.

I chose the Latter.

I am not much for dancing but in the privacy of my own room.

We just ate a lot of junk food, I did manage to squeeze in a BLT that's semi healthy right?

We played games and watched Hercules which has a lot of gospel principles I found out.

I stayed up till 4am. What was I thinking?

And one day I'm having Sunday breakfast with my family when I get this text asking me about my lunch box and how she came home one night at like 2am and could not figure out what this horrendous smell was in our room... she sniffed and sniffed and sniffed and sniffed and what do you know.... she found my sick nasty lunchbox!

She said something along the lines of it being really toxic and how it almost took her life.

We're the same but not really...

I've gained a greater appreciation for hindsight. Everything in life happens for a reason. Lately I've just been trying to understand and see what God is doing with my life and why he is moving things in and out and all around. And most of the time he works this way so we learn how to be patient so that when you look at things in hindsight you're like, "Wow, thank goodness that didn't work out!" I'm working on not having to use hindsight and just use my eyes to see/try to see what He would have me learn in the moment.
You'd be surprised what it does to your attitude when things don't go the way your life map would have them go.
I'm sure many of you experience this all the time. But lately my hindsight is out of control. I'm happy that a lot of things I originally wanted didn't work out. Because it just means things are going to get even better!

My End Of Year Goals.

Get in shape for the New Year

This is includes....

1. running every morning before work.

A minimum of 30 minutes.

It's a good thing daylight savings is around the corner. I can't even wait. Now I won't have to fear a kidnapping or having to mace anyone in the face!

2. Get my photography up and running. I'm taking my brother's family's pics. So if you know anyone looking for engagements, wedding, family portraits holla at your girl.

3: Church: I love my Church. I'm not really good at paying fast offerings. So, I'm going to start paying them every month until the New Year. Let's see how that goes. It's only 2 months. Hah, I think I can handle that so it becomes a habit. It's not like I don't pay them because I don't want too... mainly I just forget to... you know.

Daily scripture study. Daily, not 4 times a week or 5, but daily.

4. Career: movin' on up. I'm working on it!

ps. I love love love love my job. I think I'm going to be there for a while.

So I should be in bed... but I'm not. What am I doing you ask? Well... after looking on facebook, googling weddings, looking at gowns, and tiffany's... I think I just depressed myself.

It seems like everyone is in a relationship and onto the next step. I know what you're thinking... enjoy being single, take it easy, it will come when you are least expecting it.

I don't want to be a desperate crazy woman and marry the next man that comes my way... I just would like to be progressing in that way. You all remember what it's like to be single and wishing for the next step.

It sucks.

Yet, I see no prospects.

I know it will happen in His time.

I will keep being patient... and googling weddings, looking on FB to see everyone with their families and babies (which never bothered me before until I realized someday I want to be a mom and babies aren't so scary)... looking at wedding gowns and rings.

After a week of car research... I finally found my car.

It was a bittersweet day as I traded in the black pearl for this...(yes they actually gave me some money for the pearl, don't act so surprised, we knew she had a tiny bit of potential.)

My work week from hell is over! We scored a.. drum roll please.... an 86%. It's a company inspection that happens once a year and they pretty much give you a score on how your community runs as a whole. Let me see those fist pumps!! Last year the building scored a 68%. Our number could go up a few points we'll have to wait and see!!! I was so happy and so was the boss woman! I love my job. It's a lot of fun and I can't wait to progress with the company.

I'm getting sick and trying to nip this in the bud ASAP, I can't be sick tomorrow for my Big Car Shopping With Pops Day.

I'm joining the swim team for real. Most likely come Monday.

Auditors + QSR are coming into work this week STARTING TOMORROW kind of a big n serious deal... which means late work nights... didn't get off till 7:30pm... this is my first QSR ever... kind of already feeling the stress... and I forgot my phone today (I'll admit it was refreshing to not have everyone bugging me all day.. but still) Had a presidency meeting at 7pm. Couldn't call anyone to tell them... didn't make my meeting. Frustrated and seriously annoyed. Wanted to go on a million mile run... oh wait it's dark outside and I'm afraid of the dark and have serious stranger danger.... sigh.

Tania came out to DC the first week in October.

We had a blast.

We stayed in the City with Ash which was nice because I literally didn't have a commute to work.

We ate this Amazing Steak House called Ray's the Steaks

It was yummy.

Followed by a delish dessert session at this really cute place called Carlyels (sp again)

We went shopping

Ate again at our favorite Indian Place.

We chatted and caught each other up on life's events.

Went to Ashely's ward. Colonial 1st.

I miss those college days.

Tomorrow, I'm off on a jet plane for work!

I of course procrastinated packing ALL weekend.

But hanging with the family is always worth procrastinating for!

Did I do laundry, did I do anything at all to even begin preparing for this trip??? Nah, it's a good thing we're not leaving until 2pm.

So I'll be up early in the AM getting it done and getting all packed up.

I'm going to a little town called Katy, TX, right outside the Houston area.

What's weird is my brother did an internship out there for the summer during his college years. So it should be a blast.

It will be good to get away from it all.

And I get to check out the Houston Temple. I'm excited!!

I'll let you know how it goes!

I've been with my girls alllll weekend/week... this visit from Tania was a tender mercy of the Lord in every way. I've come to realize Heavenly Father is always there... His hand guides our lives more than we realize, take a look around and see the tender mercies he places in your life.

My girls always come through!!!

We spent the weekend in Arlington where we shared in laughs, tickles & giggles, and so much food, I actually went into foodcoma, it's a real thing.

The weather was beautiful... a little bit rainy, but totally fall appropriate. <3

Mell's we missed you more than you know.

Okay, I remembered my freaky dream from last night... I had a dream that I was pregnant...???

Haha, I could totally feel the baby in my stomach and I'm pretty sure she was squeezing my insides and using my ribs as monkey bars... It was bizarre... I remember waking up thinking... that was really weird.... I just felt what it was like to be pregnant... even though I probably have no idea... who knows...

On a really random side note... many of you know I have a ghetto side when it comes to some music... and NELLY just came out with a new song.

Woke up: 9:00am! Wahoo I actually slept in!

Went on a run.

Running always puts my life back into perspective.

Soaked in my thoughts as the sun shone, and realized life isn't bad!

I like climbing the mountains of life. They are challenging, but I've come to realize I like doing things I didn't think I had the guts to do.

Everyone is especially nice in my neighborhood.

Happy Hump Day

I listened to Christmas music on my commute to work. Today it took me an hour and 15 min .. normally I get there in 30-45... Christmas music calms my inner desire to turn into the incredible hulk and throw semis and baby cars alike out of my way. For some reason traffic makes me curse like a sailor... today I found Christmas music makes me happy while enduring 95 and395 I find my inner namas de (Sp).

This weekend was awesome. I never got to tell ya'll I spent it with my family and no one cried this time when we got together. JK... but seriously. I haven't eaten that much gooood food in a really long time. Mama made her tacos and we indulged and laughed till our stomachs were about to burst. I can't wait until the Holidays begin.

I was also lectured on my dating imperfections most of the weekend. I'm starting to think maybe actually listening to the people who love you and know you best is a good thing... I just might take Fred's, mom's, dad's, andy's advice... just might. But that means breaking some pretty tough habits... I will no longer be the yipping yorkie my sister so affectionately described me as... time to put the excited puppy away.

I think my heart is almost mended, after taking it out of the blender... I'm now... just sewing a few pieces together... hammering other parts, and gluing the rest...

In other news:

Lately, I've been bonding with my college girls.. out of 6 of us... 4 are still working on settling down.. all of us have degrees, one has a masters, and all of us have jobs with benefits... so what's the problem fellas? jk jk

it's nice we are all still on the same boat. We keep jumping ship together.

Anyhoo write more toms, I'm exhausted.

So I am officially allowed to enter the House of the Lord whenever I want.

I have grown a greater appreciation of what it means to be a daughter of God. I came out knowing exactly who I am. I came out appreciating the fact that I am a woman. What a wonderful blessing it is in and of itself. And I wouldn't trade being a woman for anything in the world. I learned of my divinity and importance. I came out appreciating my natural qualities that come with being a woman.

Naturally serving, nurturing, loving, being soft and kind, encouraging, happy, positive. All these things I learned in that one day.

I can't wait to continue learning and growing.

The temple was a first time experience I will never forget. I am grateful for it. I can't wait to go back.

I'm changing. I can feel it. It's weird.

Growing up just might not be so bad, I think it's actually doing me some good.

So here's a life update for you.

Temple

I'm going there someday... NEXT FRIDAY.

I am so excited and anticipating this to be a big stepping stone in the right direction for my life.

I know this, THIS step is needed.

I'm not really nervous, I kind of can't wait much longer.

CHURCH

Church is awesome.

I love my calling and the women I get to serve on a daily basis.

I can't wait to get the ball rolling and get more involved.

I'm sad I will be released from my Institute calling.

Tears.

But I think I have enough on my plate.

I look forward to Heavenly Father's guidance and to serve him at a greater extent.

So anxious!

WORK

This is Boo, our Community House dog, he was born on Halloween.

Fitting name don't you think?

We have a garden at work.

I'm learning a ton.

I think from now on, I will ALWAYS have a garden.

You save so much money on produce.

And the herbs are delicious in just about anything you cook.

I think I'm addicted to gardening.

Did you know squirrels eat tomatoes?

I didn't think they did... but I caught one little Nasty stealing our toms!!!

We went on a trip to the butterfly exhibit in Wheaton MD.

I'll tell you about that trip sometime... it was pretty much the worst experience of my life.

I don't really like to remember it.

So maybe we should forget it.

BUSINESS TRIP

So I get to go on a business trip to Katy, Texas, it's located just outside the Houston area!

Screams!

I know right.

I get to go in October the 1st week and spend 4 days there learning everything I can about their

Reminiscence care unit!

Hopefully I can bring it back to Northern VA and implement what I've learned there... here!

And make my community #1 in Rem care!

I love my job.

Maybe I'll bring home a cowboy ;0)

They are still lame & exhausting to a girl.

I'm just going to take a break. Enjoy the Hollydays, take it easy and forget about them for a while... like a long while.

I'm doing this workout program with the ladies of Relief Society... it's called Insanity.

Day 1: a little rough.

But 1 day closer to the bod I want.

I'm planning on running another half marathon!

Whooohooo!

That's my life at the moment.

A lot of changes, but nothing that won't do me some good.

I think I am finally growing up.

It stinks most of the time (the growing up thing) but I'm realizing my potential more and more.

I'm writing down my new goals and dreams and doing everything I can to achieve them.

Dinner With Uncle Philip

I had dinner tonight with my Uncle Philip (the one on the right) it was great to chat and catch up.

We went to this little Mediterranean restaurant and I got this delicious white pizza with feta and spinach on it. It was divine.

I love my Uncle for many reasons and one of them is when I first got to his home (he has the most beautiful home in Arlington), he was playing the piano, he just decided that he was going to pick it back up again.

Just goes to show you are never too old to work on your hobbies (I'm not calling you old Uncle). Another testament to me that goes to show I need to start embracing my hobbies and my goals with zest and zeal.

He does just about everything it seems. He cooks, sews these miraculous clothes for babies, toddlers and dolls alike, he always seems to be getting himself into something new. Which is what I want to be like.

He's a great example to me of that.

No more lazy K. Time to get with the program and get moving!

So, I'm learning a lot about Love and myself.

I'm 25 years old and still searching for my other half.

"Always this ridiculous obsession with love" (give you a dollar if you can guess the movie)

And definitely still learning.

What am I learning you ask?

1. Stop searching, I'm done searching I figure Heavenly Father's timing is kind of essential in this part of your plan.

2. Ladies don't work. It's not our job to work if a guy really cares, he will be willing and wanting to spend every second with you... and if he's not... KEEP IT MOVIN'

I'm a planner by nature and like to be in control... not anymore. When it comes to boys I'm not planning diddly squat. Unless he asks for some help...

3. Say what you need to say and always be honest.

4. Put yourself, your needs, your dreams, everything first. If he loves you he will help you achieve these things and you won't ever have to pick or choose. Marjorie Hinckley said "He gave me wings and let me fly"

I always make the mistake of setting my life aside in hopes that something will work out. The key I think is BALANCE.

Moving Out

Keep it Movin'

I'm moving out of my current house and into another. I'm moving in with a young teacher. She is about my age I think a year older. Her and I will share the upstairs of the town house and then she's renting out the basement to an older woman.

I will have my own Bedroom & Bathroom, and we will share everything else.

Move in date is set for September 1.

I'm really excited about this. I had a goal to be out of my current situation by Sept. and the opportunity just presented its self; Heavenly Father is great like that.

I have loved living with the family I've been living with. I've had some great laughs with my roommate, like the time I left my lunchbox with food in it and stink-bombed our bedroom. :) and my roomie was sniffing around trying not to die... I think she needed an oxygen tank complete with mast.

That was just one of the many laughs.

I think I'm learning how to live within my means.

I love it.

PS once I find my camera cord the picture posting will begin.

I need to make a much needed trip to IKEA for some much needed Decor.
